Cohen pauses to think about moving matter and presses stop in each image to make us see the process where things lose matter to resume the path towards the next shape.

The process slows down in each painting, like a movie that has been destroyed but whose plot may be inferred based on the few surviving images.

This work and all other works by Cohen seem to say that nothing is unexpected in a collapse. Everything results from the way of their decomposition. Hence, their thickness, depth, and presence.
